I didn't have attachments in my Endnote library, which I mean to remedy once I switch, but the import was easy and pretty accurate considering I used several custom fields. I haven't tried Z39.50 - but it's pretty good at recognizing any cite on the web. I haven't been using Word - although I have used Word with Endnote and that integration is pretty impressive. I'm just getting started checking out Zotero and Bookends but I'll write a follow-up once I get started with one or the other.

Does Zotero import from Endnote easily? Keeping the attachments? And does it import from libraries via Z39.50? How good is the Microsoft Word integration? I wouldn't mind switching if it weren't for the 2566 references I already have in Endnote...
