Down under - AoIR 7.0
Lately I’ve been learning the ropes at my new job and somewhat frantically preparing for my trip to Australia. I’m down under currently - in Brisbane for the AoIR 7.0 conference which starts Wednesday. Last week I took a vacation up on the Sunshine Coast (pictures in the usual spot). I had a great time. Currently I’m getting all my ducks in a row before the conference.
My presentation is 10:00 Saturday. I’ll be talking about the class projects we did last year during AoIR 6.0 - which really could be an entire panel, but since only one of us could come down I’ll be doing the short-short version Saturday. It should spark good comments and discussion because the “subjects” will be present.
I’m also hoping to talk with people about my thesis research about how people use the social bookmarking site del.icio.us - which I’m just polishing up after successfully defending last month.
