pre-Hyperlinked Society Conference

I’m in Philadelphia for the Hyperlinked Society Conference at the Annenberg School for Communication, which is tomorrow. It’s been a great summer for presentations so far - with the First Monday conference and the summer course I mentioned, which mainly involved invited guest speakers. I’m looking forward to pretty much every presentation tomorrow. I like the conferences where everyone’s at the same panel together, it’s easier to have a conversation with any of the other attendees. Obviously the trade off is that less people get to speak. There’s definitely no perfect conference format, it’s good to see different was of going about it. I’d like to go to a “camp” some time. I imagine I’ll be overloaded with info tomorrow, but I’ll try to post something shortly about the conference.
