The Word

It seems every discipline has the word or concept that explains everything, or rather, everything important. I suppose one of the advantages of having contact with people from different disciplines is that you can compare these concepts. I heard one speaker talk about literacy as the concept. I’ve also heard education, culture, the mind. Then there’s communication, which is the right one :) Everyone needs a framework, nothing wrong with that, it’s just funny to hear the same conversation about the key to understanding with a different key concept plugged in.
